Cookies from a special lady…

There is a wonderful lady named Kelly who I had the honor of meeting two Mardi Gras’ ago. She and her family happened to be looking for a spot to stand on the Endymion Parade when I happened to have a space too big for my (and Brandon’s) group. I approached her family and offered a front row seat to the best parade of Mardi Gras.

They graciously accepted my invite (even though I was dressed as a flying pig) and hung out with us all night. Her family was adorable and we liked them so much we invited them to join us the following year for Mardi Gras.

Unknown to me, Ms. Kelly got in touch with Ashley after Doug proposed to offer her AMAZING COOKIE talent! Ashley got home late one night last week to deliver a very special package:

First of all, they are adorable! I love them. Secondly, THEY WERE SO GOOD! She baked a regular sugar cookie and decorated with the delicious hard icing that is making me currently drool. Doug, Sarah, Ashley and I killed all the cookies you see within a week. I am actually kind of proud of us for making them last that long. They were so stinking good!

Thank you Ashley and Ms. Kelly (and family) for all of your effort and love. You girls are too much. I felt and still feel so loved.

Love and Hugs, Lizzie

P.S. Ms. Kelly – I can’t wait to see you guys for Mardi Gras this year!

  1. That is awesome! Only in New Orleans could you become such close friends with someone after one day out on the parade route. LOVE it.
