This was the fourth year I have participated in Bake Day! Last year I was given a very special shirt and there was no way I was attending Bake Day 2012 without it! It is a very awesome shirt that has my Bake Day title…
I arrived at 8:30 am (even though I was not assigned to start until 10 am, but I was too excited to stay at home!) and got right to work. QP was baking her traditional chocolate chip cookies and Gay was working down her list.
As the morning moved on, we had lots of special guests stop by: Margaret and Jenn became my interns. CBIs to be exact. (Cookie Bitch Interns) and they did a great job.
Then came Jeff, Erin and Kate! Then came Granny and Pops; Courtney, Kenny and Riley…and at least 5 more people stopped by the busy kitchen. UJ came by with lunch – as per tradition. Thank you UJ!
How can you not love Bake Day with images like this?!?
When lunch arrived, we feasted on Wendy’s and Rally’s! (A Bake Day Tradition!)
We finished baking the last bit of cookies, packed them in the Christmas tins and placed them in the freezer. Pretty sure we all felt like this, but maybe looked as crazy as this…
Gay told me we made over 9 different types of cookies for her cookie boxes that day! She still had a bit of baking to do, but I think she was very pleased overall.
I LOVE BAKE DAY. I want to do it more often, but I think Gay would strangle me :)
