Ashley’s Big Birthday–A new Decade!

Ashley celebrated the big 3-0 in July! We did it big!

First we started with a lunch celebration with Mom, Dad, Janice, Andrew and I.

We gave her a few gifts…

After she blew out her candles.

One gift was a packet of mustaches.

So we all got mustaches.

The second gift was a scavenger hunt and on it led us to TJMaxx for some specific items.

We all sported our mustaches proudly.

Birthdays are exhausting….well, they are in my family! Breaking at TJMaxx.

We did get quite a few funny stares.

I have no idea why.

Then we headed to cold stone for some ice cream!

The photo scavenger hunt was in full swing! She was marking the items off as she found them.

Once she completed the list she could open her birthday gifts!

She makes good faces when she is excited!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ASHLEY! We had a blast with you.

Later that night, Ashley had more visitors!

What a freaking awesome birthday!

I hope you enjoyed it. Andrew and I are glad it is over.

Doubles Volleyball Tournament

In July, John and Doug played in a sand volleyball tournament at White Sands.

There seem to be a great turnout.

When I arrived it was sunny, hot and beautiful.

Doug and John were on the far side…

Then the clouds rolled in…

But they kept playing…

and it got darker…

and darker…

Until finally I decided I needed to vacate the area with this nice camera.

I took a few more and bailed.

The guys had a great day playing. I left just in time and evidently the tent they were under got picked up and tossed around. Glad I left when I did.

BG and Jenni’s last day!

The Sunday that BG and Jenni left, we stopped by and had breakfast with those two kids.

We put Bailey in a a box and she seemed to enjoy being pushed and pulled all around. I mean, who wouldn’t?

I think she knew what was coming as she clearly states in this photo – DON’T LET HER TAKE ME BACK TO MEMPHIS!

We walked them out and Jenni got the car ready.

Uncle Doug got some hugs..

and then the dreaded moment hit. We had to put her in the car seat and tell her bye bye….

She was not happy and told us exactly where we should be sitting!

She was so stinking cute and so sad, but all I could do was giggle. SO CUTE!

Jenni and BG headed to the Nola Aquarium and we got a text a few minutes later with a photo of her petting some water creature. She seemed to recover from leaving us ok.

COME BACK AND VISIT! That was so much fun.
