Bridesmaids - CHECK

I have officially asked all of my bridesmaids!

I have some very special girls in my life. Narrowing down a group of ladies was so very tough. If I had it my way I would have 25 bridesmaids, but in an effort to not be obnoxious I decided to have no more than 8.

Then came the dilemma…how to ask them. I really wanted to do something special for each of them.

At first I thought about having flowers delivered, but flowers die and as Sabrina, a good friend of mine, says: flowers make you fat. It is an entertaining theory that I will have to share another time.

Then I thought about presents, but all these girls are so different and one gift does not apply to each of them.

Finally, I decided on something that everyone would enjoy: a picture book. I decided to make a book for each girl that included pictures of us over the years. I wanted them to think it was just a gift until they got to the last page. The last page would be a note specifically for them and I would ask them to be a bridesmaid.

It was a brilliant plan! Brilliant.. until I realized the amount of work I just created for myself. I started collecting electronic photos from my files. Then I went home to collect and scan pictures from before digital photos. Then I asked the girls for pictures of us together. All in all, the collection process took more than a month.

The next step was the books. In the first book, I typed years and details about the pictures. As I continued, I realized it would be better to have hand written notes in each book. Once I ordered the books there was only one step left: TO ASK EACH GIRL!

As I asked each girl, we took pictures (and some videos). To honor each girl, I will introduce them to you one day at a time and tell you about how I asked them to be my bridesmaids.

And just for the record, it was A LOT of work, but so worth it. It was worth the wait.

I hope you enjoy!

Love and Hugs,
Lizzie
